MGR was founded as a cleaning services cooperative in a small town in Cilento, Italy. The business grew by word of mouth, thanks to the quality of the work and a willingness to do more than what was asked. With the support of Banca Monte Pruno di Roscigno and the local mountain community authority, the company formally structured itself and began working with public institutions as well.
The first contact with the automotive supply chain arrives: a large plant tied to the FIAT supply network entrusts MGR with cleaning and storage services. Company management recognizes the business's flexibility and gradually expands the contracts to include assembly production, deburring, threading, grinding and, later, door panel assembly.
The cooperative becomes MGR Srl. In the following years, the company takes part in the startup of FIAT plants in Melfi, Cassino and Turin, contributing to the implementation of LEAN methodology. During this period, MGR develops in-house tooling, jigs and support solutions to make production processes faster, more efficient and more traceable.
MGR opens its own facility, preparing to take on new volumes of work. In those same years, however, the single client around which the entire business had been built gradually shifts its contracts to a multinational company, eventually to zero. MGR finds itself having to start from scratch, with no client portfolio and no established market.
The expertise built up in the supply chain was concentrated in two areas: leather and textile processing, and mechanical production. The reconversion followed this natural divide, with a diversification strategy that led to the creation of two distinct divisions

It developed a textile contract manufacturing business, producing cushions, seat upholstery, panels and interiors for automotive, marine and aviation. The model is that of a production partner: companies, dealerships, architects and private clients rely on MGR for a single point of contact who manages the entire process, simplifying both production and procurement.
It continued along the cart product line, producing handling solutions for moving delicate semi-finished parts and custom-fitted workbenches. Here too, the approach is focused on simplifying the client's work: the equipment is designed and built in-house, tailored to the operational needs of each project.
Over the years we've manufactured leather door panels and upholstery components for the Stellantis Group, working with historic Italian automotive brands. Know-how we now apply to every technical textile component project.
